History
In 1990, I began working freelance as a teleprompter operator for staging and film and video production companies, renting equipment as needed.
In 1992, I decided to purchase my own equipment - I wanted to ensure my clients were provided with the best equipment and software available. I bought my first teleprompting system and formed Q Prompting, an owner/operated teleprompting service company.
Since then I have continued to upgrade my hardware, software and skill. Just this year I added two new systems to my collection: a 17" LED camera unit that is still light enough to mount on a jib and bright enough to use outdoors in full sunlight; and a beautiful slim-line outdoor-bright 15" LED presidential system. And just last year, the iPad Teleprompting+ system had its debut shoot. Yes, we iPrompt!
Clients
The projects I have worked on cover a wide range of production: corporate video, commercials, broadcast television, conferences, award shows, training videos, etc.

Locations
Although most of my work is done in the Toronto area, I have worked in locations as far-flung as the Galapagos Islands and the sub-Sahara, as well as Europe, the Caribbean and across North America.
Philosophy
My job is to make your job easier. The assets I employ to make that happen are: great equipment; a friendly and helpful attitude; technical skill; and an understanding of corporate conduct and on-set etiquette.
While it is extremely important to prompt skillfully, make edits quickly and manage files carefully, it is just as important to do so while maintaining an alert, professional and tactful attitude.
